Pizza and Dessert
The pizza crust was made with the “no-knead bread” recipe and was adorned with thinly sliced mushrooms, cooked garden tomatoes, prefried onions, red pepper, pickled artichoke hearts, garden pesto, and mozzarella. Mmmm.
The dessert was a modification of Jerry’s Peanut Butter Buckeye Bars but instead of a brownie package, the cook (not me!) made a recipe from scratch: dry [1 1/3 cup flour, 3/4 cup cocoa, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt] and wet [2 eggs, 1/3 cup butter, 1 1/2 cup sugar, 1 1/2 tsp vanilla] and an addition of 1 cup chocolate chips (plus the peanut butter topping). And President’s Choice chocolate fudge crackle ice cream on the side.
