Afternoon Maple

1/160s, f6.3, 200ISO, autoWB, 35mm.

The Manitoba maple (Acer negundo) is generally despised around here; it is weak and readily falls apart, collapsing and resprouting, and is terribly hard to completely remove. It does provide shade and food for the beavers and once in a while, it looks beautiful in the afternoon sunlight.
