We visited Beaver Meadow Wildlife Management (Conservation) Area in Prince Edward County this afternoon and enjoyed the walk to the observation towers. There is one on the east side (view above) and one on the west side of the main pond and they provide views to the north across the marsh. The marsh appears to have been channelled and has a refurbished water control structure (dam) on the south end. There’s also a hardwood forest and evergreen fragment that the trail goes through. We saw muskrat lodges and wild turkeys; in the spring and fall there are bound to be waterfowl to see.
