I gave my sage plants a good trimming this weekend to reduce the levels of Poecilocapsus lineatus (four-lined plant bugs that like to overwinter in the stems) and reduce the many stems on the plants. I have quite a few sage plants that have overwintered so it’s a bit of a chore and I didn’t prune a few of them as well as I could have. Still, they’ll start off the spring with fewer stems to manage and will likely flourish over the summer.
