Pine Sawfly

1/80s, f5.6, 800ISO, autoWB, 105mm.

My mother has been complaining about her small bush pine being diseased but then she noticed it was actually infested. The European Pine Sawfly (Neodiprion setifer) has been munching down on the pine and leaving it naked. This photo shows the colouration of a couple different instars.
