1/20s, f5, 800ISO, autoWB, 18mm.

It rained all day today so it seemed like a good idea to shop at big box stores and buy donuts at Hurts Donut.

It was a partly cloudy day as I explored Madison and the contrast of this bright orange wall with the blue sky seemed perfect.

Art Gallery Listening

T stands under a sound projection at the Art Institute of Chicago. You could spend days in this place, the collection is so expansive.
I’ve since noticed that the gallery has been toured by Google Streetview so you can visit from your computer! There are some issues with this though: the camera height was not reduced to eye level, so you view the works from on high, and some of the auto blurring has been applied to the artwork. Many artworks are tagged with the artist details though, which is pretty cool!

The tadpoles were subsampled into these containers today, then photographed and counted before releasing them into new enclosures.

We held an education event at Lone Pine Marsh for local teens. Their favourite activity was putting up these bird boxes.
