I went to a knitting circle after work today and took this photo after leaving; it was a super spring evening and I enjoyed my short bike ride after this.

Cox Terrace

I noticed this historical brick building across the parking lot when I was in Peterborough (at 332-334 Rubidge St.). The Cox Terrace was originally built in 1884 as a residence for George A. Cox (a business person and senator) and others. Seven units were included and the building is an example of Second Empire style. The building is a Canadian Historical Site. More here and here.

Barbeque in the Corner

Here’s some grit provided by the rear of a building. There’s a parkade on the left and some narrow parking on the right behind 415 Queen Street West. And a barbeque in the corner – does it still work, or has it been abandoned?

Lamb in Stone

We had a fun excursion in Toronto. After visiting the AGO, we walked back to our hotel in the east end which was interesting. We also went out for drinks and dinner and it was a lovely break.

This relief lamb in 224 Queen Street East was the only one like it in the block.

Underside in Concrete

As if I didn’t walk around enough yesterday, I walked more today. Today I headed east and accidentally south, to under the Gardiner Expressway, where I documented the continuing crumbling of the concrete.

Sad Cobourg Stream

I documented the progression of an unappreciated stream in Cobourg this evening. It starts just south of Baltimore near a subdivision called “Creighton Heights” and flows past Streamway Villa, shown in this photo, and the goes under the downtown before dumping into the marina.

Forgotten Picnic Table

At Meyer’s Pier, a picnic table has been moved into the marina; someone should put it safely back on land before the melt fully occurs.
