Blowing Grass

It was still warm today, but was also extremely windy, which actually made it not that nice out. I had trouble getting a photo that I like, in fact, I don’t love this photo. But it’s winter and grey and windy and I got lots done inside today, so there’s that.

Cracking Ice

It’s still melting and cracks are forming in the ice that has flooded over the shore. The weight of the ice is dragging down the shoreline vegetation like these dogwoods and grasses.

It’s already too dark out so the AutoColor function of Photoshop saved this photo from dim oblivion. The snow has melted even more and patches of grass are visible on the meadow.

I didn’t go outside early enough today to get the full effect of the frost and the photo that I wanted to post had a mitten in the frame! But this frosty grass is still beautiful in the late morning light.

These trees are already three or four years old and are hard to find among smothering grasses.

Grass with Ice

It’s cold enough to have ice droplets form on grasses in the shallows.
